How It Works
-
Choose which product or pieces you would like using your flowers. Using the contact form, describe details in how you would like your pieces to look, regarding style, background color, and quantity.
-
I will need to receive your flowers as soon as possible to ensure they will be preserved in their best form. If shipping, use the overnight/2 day shipping following the shipping instructions sent in confirmation email. If you are local, we can arrange pick up or drop off. It is recommended to receive your flowers within 1-2 days max after your event.
-
Properly drying flowers can take an upward of 3 months. Once I can ensure they are properly dried, we will discuss your final layout for your florals and/or make adjustments as needed. Please note that depending on color of the flowers, some flowers will preserve darker than their natural color. For example, white flowers may turn cream. Some flowers will have bruising. Bruising is not normally seen on petals until they are casted in resin, but this is natural and sometimes happens during the process.
-
Creation and design - truly my favorite part! I pour many layers of resin over a span of weeks and days to ensure your piece will be durable, and a high quality product. Resin can take sometimes several days to cure in just one layer. Depending on the size of your piece or quantity of your order, turn around time for finished pieces can take about 4-8 weeks.
-
Once your pieces are complete you will receive a confirmation email letting you know when you will be able to receive your pieces - by mail or pick up. Final payment is due before or upon pick up.
FAQs
How long will my order take from start to finish?
Upon receiving your flowers, it can take and upwards of 3 months (if not more) to properly dry or press the flowers. Once I am ready to start your piece(s) it can take up to 3 weeks to finish the final products. Average turn around time for bouquet preservation and design can be anywhere from 3-5 months.
Can I keep my pieces in direct sunlight?
It is crucial to avoid keeping any resin pieces in direct sunlight or areas of high heat or direct ventilation to avoid premature ambering, warping, or discoloration. All resins eventually will gain a slight golden, vintage glow over the years, truly a piece of art that ages beautifully with you over time! We use a high-quality resin with built in UV inhibitors that is durable and will remain beautifully clear for many years to come! If you are truly worried about discoloration over time, we recommend going with a black or dark background as that will mask ambering from over the years.
Will my piece be 100% perfect?
Remembering that each piece is custom and made by hand and will have its own character, not manufactured. We try to do our very best to ensure your piece will be perfect, but please keep in mind there is no guarantee that your piece will not have some imperfection or small flaw. Some pieces may have small amounts of bubbles, as flowers are naturally porous and naturally contain trapped air. This is a common part of casting flowers in resin. Bruising is extremely common with casting resin in flowers, and this is not something we would see until the resin has been casted. All of these things add character and uniqueness to your special, custom piece! If you are unhappy with your piece, we can always come up with a way to restore or replace it!
How do I take care of my resin pieces?
Each piece is made with a high-quality, UV resistant resin. It is important to keep your pieces out of direct UV or sun exposure. To clean your piece, gently use a microfiber cloth to avoid any scratches.
My bouquet is already dried. Is there a way I can still preserve it?
Yes! Your bouquet can absolutely be preserved even if it is many years old! Although we do not restore the color of the petals, we can still create a beautiful and timeless keepsake to commemorate your special event or milestone!
